The Glory of the Flowers

This is what I imagine it looks like when each individual is serving with their unique giftings yet unified in the body of Christ. As we serve one another, we represent God on earth. That is what it means to live out the kingdom of heaven. But it is only by God’s grace that He causes our labor to be fruitful. He is the One who causes the seeds to sprout and the plants to produce fruit. He is the one that overcomes the weeds and the thorns.

We don’t always see what God is doing but sometimes, for one wild moment, the flowers turn to gold and the earth reflects the heavens. The wind becomes a beautiful disruption, opening our eyes to the extravagance of God’s grace and the depths of His love. In the small acts of love and service among His church, God’s limitless glory is reflected. God is in this place.
